Gluten Free Fish and Chips (with Homemade Tartar Sauce!)

Megan and I love us some good 'ole fish and chips! We had some searching to do before finding a brand of ready made gluten free breaded fish that we like--and maybe one of these days we will venture into trying to make our own homemade version, but for now the Toppits brand breaded fish hits the spot!

What good are fish sticks without tartar sauce? And because gluten free ready made foods are so expensive we don't eat them often; and since it doesn't really pay to buy tartar sauce from the store since it won't be eaten in a timely manner, we have figured out a great recipe that we can whip together quickly when we want some! Since it is so simple, I thought I'd share it with you!

Tartar Sauce

1 cup mayonnaise

2 tbsp dill pickle relish (or sweet relish)

1 tsp onion powder

1 tbsp lemon juice

salt and pepper to taste

Step 1: Mix together first four ingredients.

Step 2: Add salt and pepper to taste.

Step 3: Refrigerate for 1 hour (if you have the time).

Step 4: Enjoy!

Simple, easy and tasty! Maybe next time we will try battering our own fish? But for now we sure enjoyed our feast of fish and chips! Let us know if you try making this recipe yourself!
